Thanks to everyone who came to our Monday Cluster Meeting!
While I'm sad not all of you could be here, I still missed you at our meeting and hope that your review seshs are great, soccer practice is awesome, and San Diego is good! For the boys of 1025D, I'm still waiting to see your cute, little faces at something with our cluster!!! So come out already!!!

Thank you for always being so good while I'm on duty! I am so lucky to have such amazing residents!!

Here is a short recap:

• Wed @ 5pm in Atlantis--Travel Program that I worked REALLLLYYYY hard to put on for you so PLEASE COME!!!! I've invited STA Travel to come and will be very embarrassed and sad if you don't show up, so please come for me!! Friends are also always welcome!!! I think it's important to be welcoming to others, so bring them because the more, the merrier--esp. for programs!!!! :)
• Fri Picnic: Because of finals, many of you won't be here, but I will be since I'll be on duty! Our picnic will probably be turned into me having something at my apartment and if you're here, you can come by my apartment. Sonali has stepped up to be in charge of future weekly cluster dinners, so big props to her and we look forward to having fun dinners together!!
• Irvin suggessted having a French-themed dinner together with French food. This is definitely something that would be great! We'll plan on something and agree on a good day to have it. Let's have a French dinner party or something, and we can even dress up all cute!
• Wild Rivers--> Sat, Aug 8th! Only $10.50 for CVers and $12.50 for our friends!! Let's get a carpool caravan there and have a blast with all the water slides and whatnot together!
• Recycle bin trashcans: I'll find out what's up and let you know.
  
• Swine flu update: be safe and keep clean! Seriously, wash your hands a BUNCH and ask the person in lecture next to you to cover their coughs if they aren't (shame on them!!)! :)
• Keep saving those egg cartons and milk cartons (Sep 2nd program--see below!!)!!!!
  
• Always check your e-mail.
• Geetika works in the computer lab! If you're ever in the CC, stop by and say, "Hi!" to her!!
  

Exciting, Upcoming Events!!

As you know, I just got back from my own mini-trip to the best place EVER: PARIS! While I've been gone, I've been talking to some of you, and there have been some great suggestions!

1) We're going to have our weekly cluster meeting again on Mon @ 7 outside!
2) I've been working really hard to put together the next program, Traveling on a Budget, for you! You will get the most current, exciting info about how to be able to travel as a student WITHOUT backpacking. STA Travel is even coming, so we will be very lucky to have such a resource!!
Don't forget: Wed, July 29th @ 5pm in Atlantis in the CC. Let me know if you can't go, but please really do try to be there since I'm working really hard to give you something great!
3) We will have Weekly Cluster Dinners! The first one will be a picnic, set in lovely CV next Friday, so we won't have to arrange rides or anything. Everyone plan on bringing something, and then we'll have a feast!

4) Keep saving your egg cartons!!! We're making egg carton lanterns at our Sep 2nd program! It will be along the lines of this:

Hello and Fine BBQ'n!

Just got our Cluster Blog up and running! I'll definitely use this blog as a portal to show what's going on with us--and pretty much just how amazing our cluster is!

We also just got back from the 4th of July kickoff BBQ that Pro Staff put on for us. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the yummy, FREE food! Anyone who didn't is crazy for turning down free snow cones, cotton candy, chips, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, etc.

Also, BIG thanks to everyone who sat with us at the BBQ!: Sharon, Irvin, Elvin, Kevin, Roxy, Mark, Lily, and Alex! Daniel also joined us from Toluwa's Music Culture Cluster (1013), and our own Daniel from 1025 stopped by to say hi!

Hopefully, everyone else will be able to stop by and get something delicious to eat! They'll stop BBQing at 2:30!

I'll be in my apartment until 5PM today so that you can send an apartment rep over to pick up your brand new handbook/planners and form!

URGENT REMINDER: PHYSICALLY turn in the apartment condition reports before 5PM to the Housing Office TODAY if you haven't yet!!
